Clint Manning

Clint Manning is Tourism Product and Event Developer for the Department of Economic Development and Tourism, which he joined in early 2017. Clint's position is a hybrid role that contains elements of both economic development and tourism. He assists with recruitment/development efforts involving tourism-related projects, works to develop new large events (sporting, culinary, film, arts, etc.) in the City, and helps to improve City amenities through public-private partnerships.

Originally from Barbados, Clint has been in Fredericksburg since 2015, remotely operating two tourism representation firms he launched during a four-year stint in Brazil. Fluent in Portuguese, Clint was responsible for all the meeting and event planning, marketing, business development, and contracting of his international clientele throughout Brazil. He was previously Sales and Marketing Manager of a five-property Caribbean resort chain, where he specialized in attracting group business and participated in a plethora of international tourism trade shows. Clint attended Limestone College in South Carolina on a tennis scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Sports Management. He also has a Master of Education degree in Marketing and Sport Administration from the University of Miami in Florida.
