Clint Manning

Clint Manning is Tourism Product and Event Developer for the Department of Economic Development and Tourism, which he joined in early 2017. Clint's position is a hybrid role that contains elements of both economic development and tourism. He assists with recruitment/development efforts involving tourism-related projects, works to develop new large events (sporting, culinary, film, arts, etc.) in the City, and helps to improve City amenities through public-private partnerships.

Originally from Barbados, Clint has been in Fredericksburg since 2015, remotely operating two tourism representation firms he launched during a four-year stint in Brazil. He was previously Sales and Marketing Manager of a five-property Caribbean resort chain, where he specialized in attracting group business and participated in a plethora of international tourism trade shows. Clint attended Limestone College in South Carolina on a tennis scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Sports Management. He also has a Master of Education degree in Marketing and Sport Administration from the University of Miami in Florida.
